Join us for the official Cursor meetup in Sydney! An evening of ideas, code, and AI-powered workflows with fellow builders who are shaping the future of software development using Cursor.  
Designers, students, SWE and even PMs are all welcome. Whether you're deep into your daily .cursor flow or just curious about how AI can supercharge your dev experience, this event is for everybody.  
We’re hosting it at Atlassian, right in the heart of the city. Expect short talks, demos, real stories, and plenty of time to meet other Cursor users and AI-curious developers over drinks and pizza.

A quick hello and rundown of the evening by the organising team.

Cursor allowed me to single-handedly build a fully functional alpha version that surpasses any investor pitch deck. The key to success are custom Cursor Commands and Rules. I want to share how I use them with the community.  
David Joyce – Software Engineer at Block  
This session compares three approaches to building a real-time chat app—traditional, Supabase, and Convex—to show why AI coding tools like Cursor excel with some backends and struggle with others. You'll see how Convex's reactive query model eliminates the WebSocket wiring, cache invalidation, and subscription management that cause AI agents to generate buggy, chaotic code.
