## Description
AI safety is no longer a niche research concern — it's a front-page issue touching every sector of public life. Join us for an intimate evening gathering of thinkers, builders, observers, and decision-makers to take stock of where we are and where we're headed. Hosted at Collider — New York's first impact and AI safety-driven workspace — expect a few short talks, open discussion, and light refreshments. What to expect: Brief perspectives from voices across alignment research, legislation, governance, and forecasting: Structured open floor Q&A and cross-sector discussion Informal networking before and after This is for people who are: Interested/Concerned with AI Safety but don't know where to start Already in the conversation/working in AI Safety and want to go deeper Our speakers: 1. Peter Hase — Peter is a Visiting AI Scientist at Schmidt Sciences and a visiting researcher at the Stanford NLP Group. His work focuses on AI safety and interpretability. 2. Henry Josephson — Henry is a legislative aide for NY Assemblymember Alex Bores, where he focuses on emerging technology policy — most notably the RAISE Act. 3. Connacher Murphy — Connacher is a research manager at the Stanford Digital Economy Lab and previously worked at the Forecasting Research Institute. He’ll be presenting a new WP on a forecasting survey on the economic impacts of AI. 4. Haakon Huynh — Haakon is a researcher focused on the political economy of AI infrastructure and governance. He’ll be presenting a new paper on shared compute infrastructure. Run of show: 6:30-7pm - Networking 7-7.45pm - Short talks by speakers 7.45 - 8.15pm - Q+A Thank you to our organizers: 1.
