## Description
Big Data is being re-invented for AI. As models scale, research labs and infra companies are co-designing systems for extreme scale and throughput. We’re in the era of big nodes, fast object storage, high throughput networking, and exabyte scale systems. Fast evolving research workloads are neither OLAP nor OLTP, and invalidate years of abstraction in existing tools. Memory and storage prices are skyrocketing, and the scale of every piece is 10x’ing every year. Join Krea, Tigris, and Spiral for an evening of talks from practitioners in both research and infra about the wave of creative disruption, the differences from previous eras of Big Data, and what’s coming next. The night will kick off with a Fireside chat featuring Pam Vegata, creator of the ORC file format, and Ovais Tariq, founder of Tigris. Then, we will have lightning talks from: Chroma Metamorphic Labs Spiral Krea and more! Doors open at 6pm, content to kick off at 6:30pm. Food & drinks to be provided!
