Description
The first Open Source AI Show & Tell in Ghent. 🦞
A handful of locals demo what they built or discovered with open-source AI tools. OpenCode, OpenClaw, local models, self-built agents, weird workflows that actually work. Then we talk about it over a drink.
Bring your laptop if you want to follow along.
What to expect:
Intro circle
3-5 live demos (5-10 min each) from community members showing real open-source AI workflowsNick Veenhof - Opencode
Brent Gees - Kilo Code
Serokh Walid - Openclaw
Bram Veenhof - Openclaw
Thomas Vande Casteele - Openclaw
Want to show something? Message me in advance! First come first serve.
Q&A and open discussion after each demo
Informal bar chat to close
What to bring: Yourself. Optionally your laptop.
The vibe: Casual. Curious. Beginner-friendly. Want to demo something? Send a message.
About your host
Nick Veenhof has been building open-source communities since before it was a career.
He started contributing to Drupal in 2007, helped scale search infrastructure at Acquia, and co-organised Drupal Developer Days 2022 in Ghent (360 people, 40+ countries). He chairs the Belgian Drupal User Group and leads Developer Relations at GitLab, where his team works with thousands of open-source contributors worldwide.
Ghent has a "pay it forward" culture. This is Nick paying it forward.
This is not a corporate event. He is just curious what his neighbours are building.
